User self-service

SafeNet Trusted Access (STA) provides the following user self-service features:

  • User portal: The user portal is a predefined application that is active and assigned to all users by default. On the user portal, users can see a list of applications that they are authorized to access through STA, view their authenticators, and set the language for the user portal interface.

  • Self-provisioning: Self-provisioning means that users who don't already have a token can immediately enroll a new token on their own, without using an enrollment email. You can offer your users the option to self-provision GrIDsure, FIDO, or SafeNet MobilePASS+ tokens.

  • Automatically fill user names: STA provides several methods that can allow the user name on the login screen to be filled automatically. These methods include the Remember me option on the login screen, Kerberos tickets with Integrated Windows Authentication, a custom request attribute with SAML applications, and a login_hint with OIDC applications.

  • GrIDsure PIP reset: On the login pages, users can reset the personal identification pattern (PIP) for their GrIDsure tokens. You must enable this feature on the STA Access Management console, in Settings > GrIDsure.

  • Self-service portal: The self-service portal enables users to perform simple authentication management functions. These functions include requesting a token, resetting their PIN and PIP, reporting lost tokens, viewing their profile, resynchronizing tokens, and resending SMS messages.

  • SafeNet Agent for Password Self-Service: The agent provides an out-of-the-box, self-service password management solution. If, while accessing a STA protected web application, the user forgets the domain password, it can be easily reset through the agent using any of the configured STA authentication methods. Similarly, if the domain password expires, the user can change the password while accessing a STA protected application. SafeNet Agent for Password Self-Service is available on the STA Access Management console from the Applications tab.
